"You don't learn to walk by following rules. You learn by doing, and by falling over."
In Relinquished Legacy, we create these guidelines as a field to protect our guild.
So that your role playing isn't interrupted, we aim to be rid of the unnecessary drama, noise and annoyances that can happen within the guild.
Our council work as the supervisors of the guild, as well as other things, to though we generally encourage a liberal and relaxed attitude that allows you to get on with what you want without much intervention from us outside of our role plays and general chats.

Social Policies
HARASSMENT POLICY: Harassment of any kind is not accepted in the guild. The main examples of which are: sexual, discriminatory (racism, xenophobia, homophobia or sexism) and trolling (including ruining role plays and being generally insulting to someone, with an intention of making them upset). However this policy only acts on offense. This allows for us to make jokes, though if anyone is offended enough to be visibly upset, report you or ask you to stop, then we are inclined to take action.
GUILD CHAT POLICY: Our guild chat should be a forum for polite debate, conversation and banter. Inappropriate and anti-social behavior is not allowed. The main examples of which are: spamming, flaming, drama-sparking (including arguments that should be kept to whispers, rather than guild, if had at all), and purposefully malicious/agitating attitude.
STAFF POLICY: Our council members are here to support you, the player base, so constructive criticism, suggestion and co-operation is very helpful to us. Keep in mind however, that complaints and suggestions are best saved for the forums, and that the staff would appreciate it if you whispered your criticisms rather than placed them on announce. Examples of breaching staff policies are: council impersonation (including naming yourself after council to scam players through that method), ban avoiding and contempt for warnings.
Role Play Policies
NAMING POLICY: Though naming issues should be sorted out by the council (and we are generally lax about it), should you be told by a member of the council that you should rename, please rename in accordance to this policy. (Do not use examples!)
For each flight has a specific suffix for their names. The following suffixes are:
-------- | Black | Blue | Bronze | Green | Red |
Male | -tharion | -gos | -dormu | -us | -strasz |
Female | -tharia / -ia | -gosa | -dormi | -era | -strasza |
Specific names for the flights are acceptable, however not needed. If you are using a name which does not have one of the flight suffixes, keep them reasonable.
Nicknames are to be used with 'quotation' marks around them. Example: 'Ash' or Alicia 'Ash' Carter.
Celebrity or famous/household names aren't allowed. As well as names from cartoons or such.
If you are unsure about your name, ask one of our council members to clarify for you!
RP POLICY: We reserve all of our rights to role-players, and therefore, most of our rules are geared towards granting said role-players the best experience. First and foremost, we believe in the philosophy of "role-play is what you make of it": Every role-player has the right to role-play what they wish without being criticized for it, unless they ask for criticism or advice. If you do not agree with someone's role-play, you should simply walk away. Flaming them in guild or anywhere public is not acceptable, and can be regarded as harassment.
• ERP is also allowed, though we advise you to practice discretion, and do not practice it in front of people who do NOT wish to see it; this can be considered sexual harassment should it be forced upon them.
Guild Policies
IN CHARACTER POLICY: Being in character makes you viable for all your actions made by said character to have actually happen. While in character, act as your character will act, and be respectful to others, as well as yourself.
While being in character, it is important not to take things you learned out of character and implement them into in character role plays, aka meta gaming. Any act of meta gaming will be voided. Also, if you learn something on one character, it is also meta gaming to know it on another character.
Sure power is important, but having too much will cause instability. We do not accept those who are overpowered, and will not allow them to become overpowered. If we ask you to tone it down, do so. We will warn you only so many times before we get sick of it, kicking you from the guild until further notice.
Just as well, sure you may enjoy a certain type of role play with others, but you have to keep consideration for other's role playing. They may not always want to put up with the type of things you wish to do, so diversify and learn new things. As well, do no overdo any type of role play. For example: Getting on just to role play fighting with other characters is not productive for anyone.
DRAGON POLICY: For the dragons in the organization, being on top sure does feel right for a creature of your power, but know we are all equal here. Despite the differences, we are all the same magical flying lizards. If you are one flight, there is NO possible way for you to learn things from other flights. Example: Blues can not learn time, Blacks can not learn magic, Reds can not wield earth. Each flight has their own powers respectively.
Off/Mix-breeds of other dragons are to be treated as such. Sure they may looked down on, however they are to be treated as equals. They are not allowed to obtain the power of a pure of said flight they are mixed with. Example: Blue/Black and not allowed to be fully powerful in both earth and magic.
Dragons have a wide knowledge of things, however it may NOT be used to advance in any mortal skill. For example: Advancing engineering past common tinkering (No titan engineering acceptable), writing books of acts and happenings of future events not yet happening.
Dragons who are not in the main flights have a specific set of rules. To learn these rules, message the Guild Master if you wish to learn/play these off-flights.
